This workshop is designed to enhance your municipal operational efficiency when it comes to records management. Join us to go on a journey of a records life cycle — from storage to final disposition — we'll outline policies for establishing a successful records management program, including how to manage electronic records. We will also discuss the scanning and digitization of records and how emails impact records management.

Ilidia Sa Melo, CMO, AOMC
Municipal Officer (Retired), Township of Woolwich

Ilidia has worked in the public sector for more than 33 years. She has held positions within the clerk’s department at the Region of Waterloo, City of Cambridge, and Township of Woolwich, and assumed leadership roles as deputy clerk and manager of information management, archives, privacy officer, and business licensing. Ilidia has continued her education by completing the AIIM ERM Master Certification Program and AIIM Specialist Certification Program, Adjudication Certificate from the Osgoode Hall Law School, Certified Municipal Officer (CMO), Certified Municipal Manager (CMM III), and Accredited Ontario Municipal Clerk (AOMC). Ilidia has received numerous recognition awards for her high level of commitment, leadership, and project management, including the prestigious 2015 Women of Distinction Award from the YWCA. She has been an AMCTO member since 1994.
