Tammy is a bilingual professional engineer with more than 28 years of experience in water infrastructure operations, maintenance, and engineering management.

A seasoned municipal leader, Tammy has served in a number of leadership positions since joining the City in 2002, including director of water services and manager of drinking water services. Most recently, she has served as planning chief with Ottawa Public Health, playing a critical role to ensure the successful rollout of the City’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts. Throughout the last 20 years, Tammy has gained direct experience leading complex projects and overseeing asset management. During this time, she has also gained expert knowledge of legislation, guidelines, and future trends governing the water industry. 

Having led numerous strategic planning projects and dealt with several emergencies, Tammy has proven to be an effective servant leader, managing high-functioning teams in complex environments. She has established productive and collaborative relationships with her peers, elected officials, and both private and public sector organizations. Through these relationships and extensive experience, Tammy has gained key insights to evolve the City’s critical services and asset management to continue to meet community needs and the needs of Ottawa residents.
