AMCTO education programs and services are geared to meet the needs of today's evolving municipal professionals. Explore our 2025 Winter/Spring correspondence courses and Zoom learning options and register today to:

Correspondence Courses (January - May)

A flexible learning option - review materials at times that work for you and submit assessments according to a given schedule.

Registration for all correspondence courses closes Friday, January 10, 2025.

Virtual (Zoom) Classes

Learn as a group at designated times with expert instructors.

Municipal Administration Program (MAP)
Optional: Complete two successive units within one term at an accelerated pace.

  • Unit 1: February 11, 18, 25, March 4 & 11
  • Unit 2: April 15, 22, 29, May 6 & 13
  • Unit 3: February 11, 18, 25, March 4 & 11
  • Unit 4: April 15, 22, 29, May 6 & 13

Municipal Accounting & Finance Program (MAFP)

  • Unit 1: February 20, March 6, 20, April 3 & 17
  • Unit 2 will be offered in Fall 2025

Municipal Law Program (MLP)

  • Unit 1: January 24, February 7, 21 & March 7
  • Unit 2: April 11, May 2, 16 & 30
  • Units 3 & 4 will be offered in Fall 2025

Employment Law & Human Resources Program (HR)*

  • February cohort: February 12, 26 & 27
  • May cohort: May 14, 28 & 29

*Please note: We are in the process of making changes to the Employment Law & Human Resources (HR) Program. The HR Report for Diploma in Municipal Administration (DMA) students is being phased out and will be replaced with new learning assessments starting in Fall 2025. The current version of the program with the HR Report will run for two final cohorts in February and May 2025.

Municipal Clerks Institute (MCI)

  • Level 1: March 19, 26, April 9 & 16
  • Level 2: May 7, 14, 21 & 28

Registration deadlines for Zoom classes are available on the program web pages. Please note that spaces for Zoom classes are limited. Registration will be open until the deadline or when the class reaches capacity, whichever comes first.

Executive Diploma in Municipal Management (EDMM)

EDMM is a comprehensive, 10-month career development program designed to provide the foundational knowledge, skills, and competencies required to be a successful municipal manager. Attend 16 modules on critical topics and practice your presentation and analytical skills among peers. Register by February 28 to join the spring 2025 cohort.

All courses are open for both AMCTO members and non-members to attend and there are no pre-requisites.
