The AMCTO-IVEY Executive Municipal Leadership Program is a highly immersive six-session program designed to hone the leadership skills of senior local government executives. This customized executive development program will explore the core tenets of successful leadership, and provide you with valuable insights into your own leadership capabilities. It will equip you with the specific insights, skills and tools needed to drive peak performance, orchestrate change, and develop a leadership culture within your organization.
The intensive program content focuses on three central themes:
- Leading Self
- Leading Teams
- Leading the Organization
The curriculum is case-driven with rich, participant-centric discussions covering topics such as:
- Learning to become a better leader
- Leader character
- Leading under extraordinary circumstances
- Values-based leadership
- Team leadership effectiveness
- Self-awareness
- Fostering collaboration
- Leading change
The dynamic curriculum includes sessions with inspiring speakers, and opportunities to network and share perspectives with colleagues from across the sector. This program is delivered virtually over six half-day sessions. Each module requires approximately one hour of preparation, followed by four hours of live faculty sessions for a total of 25 commitment hours.
