As you may be aware, the Province of Ontario has indicated that it will deliver a Fall Budget no later than November 15th 2020. This is a bit of a different process than normal, as we usually expect a Fall Economic Statement at this time of year. Also known as FES (pronounced FEZ), the statement provides an economic update and fiscal review as part of the Provincial Budget Cycle. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the government is preparing a Fall 2020 Budget to "help start Ontario down the road to recovery."

As such, the Province is calling for members of the public and other interested parties to take part in a short pre-budget consultation period. The deadline to submit is October 16th 2020. For further information or to make a submission, visit the Fall 2020 Pre-Budget Consultation webpage.
