Craft Beer Sales Permitted at Farmer's Markets

2021-10-15 1:20:19 PM

As previously announced in the 2021 Ontario budget, the Province is allowing eligible local brewers to sell their products at farmers’ markets making it so that craft beer can now be sold alongside eligible wines, distilled spirits and ciders.

Licensed eligible brewers must apply to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to occasionally extend their on-site stores to sell at farmers’ markets.

Municipalities retain control over whether to support the sale of alcohol at their farmer’s markets. Further information is available on the AGCO’s website.
