Bill 73, Smart Growth for Our Communities Act, has passed its second reading in the legislature and will now be reviewed by the Standing Committee on Social Policy. The bill, which was carried on division, is designed to ensure that development charges better balance the competing interests of municipalities with developers and give citizens a more active role in the development process.
