Callout for Candidates for MPAC's Board of Directors

The Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) is taking expressions of interest from eligible individuals to be nominated to serve on the Board of Directors for the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).

Interested candidates are to submit an application by Friday, November 15th, 2019 by 5pm to AMO’s Board will select and submit 22 names to the Minister of Finance from the pool of qualified candidates.

MPAC’s Board of Directors is appointed by the Minister of Finance and is composed of:

  • Seven individuals who are current or former elected officials of a municipality or current or former officers or employees of a municipality (“municipal representatives”);

  • Four individuals who represent the interests of property taxpayers (“taxpayer representatives); and

  • Two individuals who represent the interests of the Province (“provincial representatives”)
