The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Steve Clark, yesterday announced the government is investing up to $8.1 million to help 115 small and rural municipalities find ways to better deliver municipal services. The investment will be distributed through the Municipal Modernization Program, which was created to assist municipalities conduct service delivery reviews following the no forced amalgamation announcement in October.
