Ontario's Attorney General, Doug Downey, yesterday announced online consultations to help inform potential new cannabis-related business opportunities in the province.
The government is specifically seeking feedback on the facilitation the sale of cannabis for consumption in establishments, such as lounges and café, and cannabis special occasion permits.
The government will also meet with industry representatives, public health and safety organizations, education stakeholders, and Indigenous representatives.
The consultations will close on March 10th, 2020.
In December 2019, the government announced that it will move away from its initial lottery system to an open market for retail cannabis sales.
