The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has released the consultation summary from its outreach on the province's strategy for creating community hubs. In a number of the mandate letters provided to her cabinet ministers, Premier Kathleen Wynne committed to developing community hubs in an effort to bring as many services together in one place as possible. According to the government a community hub is:

...a school, a neighbourhood centre or another public space that offers co-located or integrated services such as education, health care and social services. Each hub is as unique as the community it serves.

The consultation summary is organized by several themes, including:

• Local leadership and decision-making
• Access to resources
• Fragmented policies
• Restrictive legislation
