2019-12-06 8:55:30 AM

Ontario’s Auditor General, Bonnie Lysyk, released her 2019 Annual Report, which details value-for-money audits across a number of programs and practices as specified in the Auditor General Act. The objective of the audit is to “obtain reasonable assurance that the statements are free of significant errors or omissions.”

Among her comments in the 2019 report, the Auditor General specifically stated that Ontario’s climate change plan is not “based on sound evidence”, around 67,000 out of the one million hospital patients discharged annually suffer from some injury during treatment, and funding for addictions treatment is not allocated on a needs basis but evenly by region.
